Meet: PGA Tour
The PGA TOUR and the state of Arizona have a long-standing history, dating back to 1932 when the Arizona Open debuted at Phoenix Country Club. Since then, not only has the PGA TOUR’s presence in Arizona never wavered, it has grown. The Charles Schwab Cup Championship made its Arizona-debut in 2012 at Desert Mountain Club. Today, the tournament remains in the Scottsdale-Phoenix area, making a move to Phoenix Country Club in 2017.
The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is a 72-hole tournament on PGA TOUR Champions, a membership organization for professional golfers, age 50 and above. The event annually marks the final tournament of the season and is the third and final leg of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, a points-based playoff system used to determine the season-long champion. The field of professional golfers that descend on Phoenix each year consists of the top-36 players on the Charles Schwab Cup points list. In 2017, after three years hosted at Desert Mountain Club, the year-ending event moved to Phoenix Country Club. The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is scheduled to return to Phoenix Country Club November 5-11, 2018.
Since moving from Desert Mountain Club to Phoenix Country Club in 2017, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship has developed new and exciting ways to entertain fans. Thursday through Sunday of tournament week, fans are encouraged to enjoy a number of venues offering first-class views of golf. Visit the Four Peaks Brewery Beer Garden, the Michelob Ultra Pop-Up Bar, or the Taste of Schwab presented by The Vig, which showcases local Phoenix restaurants. Additionally, the tournament is proud to continue offering complimentary tickets and on-course hospitality for all Active Duty Military, Military Reserve, Veterans and their dependents.
The PGA TOUR Champions mission is not only to entertain and inspire its fans, but to generate significant charitable impact in tournament communities. The TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program returns to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship for the 2018 event, which continues to generate revenue for local charities in the Scottsdale-Phoenix area. The program provides the opportunity for 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations to sell tournament tickets to benefit their individual organization. 100% of the net proceeds the non-profit sells per ticket, goes directly back to their organization. The tournament looks forward to making further strides in 2018 after generating over $350,000 in charitable contributions in 2017.
PGA TOUR Champions is proud to continue the legacy of professional golf in the Grand Canyon State and looks forward to calling Arizona home for many years to come.

Meet: Experience Scottsdale
Experience Scottsdale is the sole organization responsible for marketing the city as a premier travel and meetings destination to national and international leisure visitors, meeting planners, travel agents, tour operators and media. In addition to destination marketing for the City of Scottsdale, Experience Scottsdale also partners with the Town of Paradise Valley and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, representing more than 400 tourism-related businesses in these communities.
When Experience Scottsdale markets the destination, everything from local businesses to public services and citizens win. Attracting more visitors to the area means more money spent on local attractions, hotels, retail and restaurants. Increased visitor demand and spending generates a continuous cycle of positive economic benefits.
Every dollar invested by Experience Scottsdale in marketing and sales directly generates $67 in visitor spending and $3 in local tax revenue for the benefit of Scottsdale residents.
In February, Experience Scottsdale launched a month-long, out-of-home advertising campaign in two of our top markets – New York and Chicago. The Absolutely Scottsdale campaign is on display in New York City inside Penn Station as well as two full blocks near Madison Square Garden in Penn Plaza. In Chicago, Experience Scottsdale wrapped Ogilvie Station as well as Lake Tunnel and Jackson Tunnel. All total, between these two markets, we are posting nearly 400 advertising assets and generating more than 34 million advertising impressions. Plus, ourAbsolutely Scottsdale television commercial is playing simultaneously on broadcast television, grabbing New York City and Chicago residents’ attention even when they’re home.

Meet: University of Phoenix Stadium
Home to the Arizona Cardinals Football Club, the annual Fiesta Bowl, and numerous other sports and entertainment events and activities, University of Phoenix Stadium offers outstanding, unobstructed views for 63,400 fans while also providing exceptional spaces for intimate social and corporate gatherings.
